Who's behind this

A neighbor seeking to build community through public education advocacy.

Erin Zehr has lived in Brentwood since 2012, and is a Brentwood and Kealing parent. She is a public-school advocate active with several Austin ISD PTAs. She organizes community meetings and resource-sharing to help neighbors understand the basics of school funding, the state's accountability ratings, patterns in state takeovers of independent school districts, AISD's boundary realignment plans and budgets.

Erin's intention is to create spaces for neighbors to connect with each other over timely facts and clear, sourced information, so that individuals know about and can decide on the advocacy path that works best for them.

She shares timely updates on these topics through special Advocacy Editions of Brentwood PTA's newsletter, The Bark. Subscribe at the link below to stay in the loop.
